Pioneer Woman

Last night, a popular blogger that I am an avid fan of, Pioneer Woman, was here in Salt Lake City to sign her cookbook.  Kim and I got up there early to get in line for the Q & A.  We also got tickets for our place in line for the signing.  The system they had was 20 people per letter, starting at A and going through Z.  We got letter F.

The Q & A was awesome.  I didn’t get a seat, but where I was, was perfect for pictures.

After the Q&A, we were sitting down waiting to be called for our letter, when I spotted another popular blogger that I follow.  Heather Armstrong at Dooce.com.  So Kim and I ran over and asked her if we could get a picture with her.  Her assistant, Katey, was happy to take our picture for me.

Then we waited and waited and waited.  We waited for nearly an hour and found out that they had barely gotten done with the A’s.  Ugh.  My feet were KILLING ME.  Wearing heels to wait in line wasn’t the smartest thing to do.  There was a woman with a crazy amount of books in the A’s, so after she was done it went much quicker.  We got into the bookstore and still waited FOREVER.  Finally, we were just steps away and then they announced that she was going to take a break after the person in front of me.  Seriously!  RIGHT IN FRONT OF ME!!!

So, while we waited we got Missy, Ree’s sister-in-law, to sign our books.  And then, Fox 13 news showed up so they could interview Ree and take some footage.  So, he was there while Ree signed my book.  Booyah!  (That’s Missy in the background taking a picture with Ree’s camera.  I’m on PW’s Camera!!!)

It was a fun night.  I’m not usually so giddy about meeting famous people, but I feel like I know so much about Pioneer Woman, I’m glad I finally got to meet her in person.
